TB Testing Reminders – Assisted Living and SNF

TB 2-Step Testing is required for SNF and AL
- Prior to working with residents, all HCP must receive a Baseline Test TST (2-step)* OR IGRA with risk assessment and symptom screen
- All new admission must receive a 2-step TB test.
- All HCP must receive annual education on TB.
- Annual screening and testing for HCPs without LTBI (Latent TB Infection) and with no risk factors is not recommended.
- HCPs with LTBI should receive a symptom screen annually and upon hire.
- Treatment for LTBI is strongly encouraged.
