From the Desk of the Chairman

Welcome to the Colorado Health Care Association & Center for Assisted Living.

We encourage you to explore all of the resources in our 2021 Resource Directory. It is divided into sections to help you easily find the resources you need with tabs for the Membership Directory, Association Information, and Legislative Information. For the first time in 2021, the Resource Directory is being delivered electronically.  This virtual format makes for easier searching and allows CHCA to keep contact information up-to-date throughout the year.

Quality care will always be our focus. To that end we support our members with education, information and advocacy. Our educational programs are built with input from our members and in collaboration with regulatory agencies. We look at trends within our state and beyond, assisting facilities not only with meeting challenges but also exploring creative solutions. Members have a voice in educational programming for courses held throughout the year, as well as Spring Conference and Fall Convention.

Our committees are another avenue to receive education and support. Committees are designated for specific disciplines yet are open to all members. They are a great opportunity for sharing best practices, networking with other professionals and cross training. Participating committee members determine the agenda and a call-in option is available for those who cannot access the meeting in person. You will find more information on our committees under the Association Information tab.

While we represent our members in state and national legislative matters, we also call on you to develop relationships with your legislators and make sure they understand the concerns of the profession. We stay up to date on legislative activity relevant to long term care and assisted living and keep you informed through our bimonthly newsletter and through our Governmental Policy Council. The Legislative/Governmental tab provides information on how you can get involved, who your legislative representatives are, and how to contact them.

We thank all of those of who partner with us and welcome those new to this profession. Together we continue in our mission to provide quality care and improve the lives of those who live and work in long term care and assisted living settings.

Sincerely,

John Brammeier
