Main Duties/Responsibilities:

1.1 Responsible to adhere to Federal, State and local regulations.

1.2 Responsible to maintain license on current status as required by law, and maintaining a copy of such license or registration on premises.

1.3 Responsible for development and documentation of policies and procedures.

1.4 Responsible to oversee corporate compliance with directives from the governing board.

1.5 Responsible for supervision of department directors.

1.6 Responsible to establish the facility assessment, review annually and as necessary and use the assessment to make decisions about direct care staff needs and the facility’s capabilities to provide services to the residents.

1.7 Responsible to provide the appropriate notices in the event of a facility closure, as required per regulations.

1.8 Responsible for assumption of all administrative authority for the facility.

1.9 Responsible to ensure that all facility committees are duly constituted and functioning as directed by regulation and facility policy; to evaluate and ensure implementation of committee recommendations.

1.10 Responsible for recruitment of personnel for key subordinate positions.

1.11 Responsible to ensure that public information describing the facility’s services is accurate, fully descriptive, and is readily available upon request.

1.12 Responsible to serve as liaison to the Governing Body, the medical staff, and other professional and supervisory staff.

1.13 Responsible to ensure that each resident’s right to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, confidentiality of information, property, and civil rights, including the right to lodge a complaint, are strictly enforced.

1.14 Responsible for assurance that all employees are professionally competent, meet company standards and are legally qualified for employment at the facility.

1.15 Responsible to enforce staffing ratios in accordance with regulation and the policy directives of the Governing Body.

1.16 Responsible to represent the facility in contacts with other industry members, the medical community, hospitals, hospital discharge planners, and professional and trade organizations.

1.17 Responsible to use universal precautions and necessary personal protective equipment (i.e. goggles, gloves, mask) to protect residents, yourself and others from exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue.

1.18 Responsible to report any resident abuse to the authorities and the Colorado Department of Public Health as mandated under Senate Bill 13-11 and per the facility’s resident abuse policy.

1.19 Responsible to treat residents, staff and the public with kindness and consideration, and to promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork with the supervisors and employees of all other departments.

1.20 Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of resident information and reporting all suspected violations of the (HIPAA) Privacy or Security Policy to the Privacy Officer or Security Officer.

1.21 Responsible for promoting excellence in person centered care by supporting the residents’ individuality through personal choices of daily life.

1.22 Responsible to act as Incident Commander in emergency operations while on premises

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an NHA or Executive Director with a proven history of positive regulatory surveys and financials. Must possess an extensive knowlege of state and federal regulations. We are looking for an individual to join our team and lead us in continuing to be a top notch long term care facility in our beautiful small town. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
