CDC Identifies Reporting Issue with NHSN

NHSN Weekly COVID-19 Vaccination Module Error

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) has identified an issue with reporting COVID-19 Vaccination Data for resident and health care personnel in the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Long-term Care Facility Component. Users can initially save their data, but if users attempt to modify data for question #2, an error message is generated, and those modifications cannot be saved in the NHSN application.   The CDC is actively working to resolve this problem and anticipates it to be fixed on July 11, 2023.  The CDC has also shared the following workaround for users to modify their data:

Users can upload a .CSV file if they would like to modify data for question #2. Please review the “Weekly COVID-19 Vaccination Summary Data – CSV Data Import” section on the following webpage: https://www.cdc.gov/nhsn/ltc/weekly-covid-vac/index.html#anchor_21687. Users can review instructions for uploading data, .CSV file templates, and example files for residents and healthcare personnel. 

This data is required to be reported weekly through NHSN.If you have questions, please email NHSN@cdc.gov and include “Weekly COVID-19 Vaccination Data – LTCFs” in the subject line.
