Assisted Living Regulations Update Summary

The Colorado Board of Health approved updates to the Assisted Living Regulations on November 15th, 2023 in the Emergency Rulemaking Hearing concerning 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 7 – Assisted Living Residences.  This update to the regulations implements and updates language related to laws passed in Senate Bill (SB) 22-154,  Senate Bill 22-079, Senate Bill 22-053, and House Bill 22-1270.

CCAL has summarized the operational and policy and procedure changes this will require, as well as the updates to the Health Department’s authorities.  An update to the CCAL Assisted Living Resource Manual will be provided by December 15th, 2023.
