The 10th Annual CHCA Chef Challenge is coming to the 2026 Colorado Health Care Association Fall Convention, and we’re ready to see the creativity, passion, and talent that Colorado care communities bring to the table!

This exciting competition celebrates the chefs and dining teams who make a difference every day through exceptional meals, innovation, and resident-centered dining experiences. Whether you’re showcasing signature flavors, artistic presentation, or teamwork in the kitchen, this is your chance to shine among peers across the state.

📅 Important Dates:

  • Online Applications Open: July 1, 2026
  • Application Deadline: August 18, 2026
  • Finalists Notified: August 28, 2026
  • 10th Annual CHCA Chef Challenge: September 23, 2026

2026 Chef Challenge Application

Please complete this online registration form and submit it by 8/18/2026. You will receive a confirmation with your completed application that we have successfully received it. Applications must be received by August 18, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be reviewed. The registering community must be a current CHCA member. If you have any questions beforehand, please email Amy Chiaro at amy_chiaro@shamrockfoods.com.

  • Please name up to three (3) members of the Chef Challenge team, and a brief bio for each one, including name, title, and contact email. There may be no more than three (3) people per team.
  • 1. List ingredients in chronological order. 2. Separate ingredients for major steps in a recipe. 3. List steps in order, keeping instructions short and to the point. 4. Give specifics about preparation technique and doneness.
