Scholarships
CHCA is proud to sponsor two scholarship programs for long term care professionals:
The Long Term Care Career Enhancement Scholarship and the Long Term Care
Culinary Professionals Scholarship.
LTC Career Enhancement Scholarship

The LTC Career Enhancement Scholarship is for current employees of CHCA
member facilities who wish to further their education in the long term care field.
This scholarship is aimed at encouraging professionalism in long term care.
Scholarship Criteria and Requirements
- The education curriculum must be focused on long term care.
- The applicant is demonstrates a commitment to working in the long term care field
for at least two years.
- The applicant has been with the current facility for a minimum of one year**.
- The applicant has supplied the selection committee with the following:
Completed questionnaire
Letter of recommendation from his/her Administrator
Additional letter of recommendation from Department Supervisor
Transcript of grades (MUST maintain a 3.0 grade point average). (If attended
classes in the last 5 years.)
Curriculum of course work
Resume, including work history
**The one year requirement may be met
under the following conditions:
- If the applicant has been with the same organization for a minimum of one
year.
- Consideration will be given to individuals who do not meet the one year requirement
as a result of accepting
a promotional position at another facility.
- Applicants who have not worked in long term care overall for a minimum of 1
year will not be considered.
NOTE:
Applications that do not meet the above criteria/requirements or are
incomplete will be disqualified prior to committee review.

LTC Culinary Professionals's Scolarship

- The curriculum must be focused on dietary management and/or culinary arts.
- The applicant has worked in the long term care field for at least one year.
- The applicant has supplied the selection committee with the following:
Completed questionnaire
Letter of recommendation from his/her Administrator
Additional letter of recommendation from Department Supervisor
If currently in school, transcript of grades showing a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Curriculum of course work
Resume, including work history
NOTE: Applications
that do not meet the above criteria/requirements or are incomplete will be disqualified
prior to committee review.
Application
