Colorado Center for Assisted Living (CCAL)

Works to monitor proposed legislation and regulations for assisted living facilities. Assists the Education Committee in developing educational sessions geared toward assisted living providers.

This committee works to communicate concerns & ideas from associate members. They frequently work with the Education Committee in order to develop the Spring Conference and Fall Convention.
Education & Conference Planning Committee

Develops educational programs, seminars and workshops, & works with the Convention Committee to develop the educational programs for convention. Frequently works with the Council of Associate Members to develop the Spring Conference & Fall Convention.
Governmental Policy Council

This committee works to monitor all proposed legilation & regulations (state & federal) affecting long-term care; organizes lobbying efforts as needed. Monitors any proposed changes in Medicaid reimbursement & works with the Legilative Committee to organize lobbying efforts when necessary.

Comprised of representatives from non-profit nursing homes, the committee addresses the needs of the non-profit homes & makes recommendations to the Board.

The safety component of the committee will review worker's compensation issues and facilitate discussion and education on best practices for safety management. The preparedness component of the committee works to empower members, facilitate discussion and provide education on a range of topics including emergency preparedness, OSHA, and Fire and Life safety.
