Ensuring an Abuse-free Environment with Donna Singer, M.A.,Speaker/Trainer/Gerontologist
An all day training program geared at preventing abuse by addressing the challenges that face CNAs on a daily basis. This popular course helps CNAs discover ways to solve caregiving problems without resorting to verbal, mental, or physical abuse and provides tips to assist CNAs in coping with job stress. Ample opportunity is provided for CNAs to discuss issues and ask questions in this fun informative class. Topics covered include: recognition of abuse, reporting suspected abuse, possible causes of abuse, understanding and not personalizing resident behavior, managing caregiver stress and abuse prevention techniques. This course focuses on how to treat residents with dignity and respect.
